Rebel focuses on providing elevated, innovative, and exceptional training in the performance arts industry. We also have a passion for breaking the stigma of mental health. We want to bring a safe space to explore the unspoken and misunderstood.
Rebel also believes that everyone has a place, right, and value in this world. Therefore, we are intentional about Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Antiracism by being proactively inclusive in our approach and strategic planning.
As the JED Foundation states: Mental health is significantly impacted by our unique perspectives, cultural and ethnic backgrounds, genders, sexual identities, faith traditions, and dis/abilities. Feeling understood, accepted, and supported is an essential protective factor for our mental health, while discrimination, stigma, and mistreatment can contribute to emotional struggles.
We can also find these same threads in the stories we tell as artists, actors, and creatives. Rebel believes that artists can begin to feel safe and thrive in their craft when they feel understood, accepted, and supported.
We have the vision to make advancements and changes in the structure of performance arts education. However, that also means we are responsible for committing to the values we hold and believe.
creating a space the nurtures joy, artistry, and mental health
